On-site attractions
Always plenty to see. The cows, which supply your 'daily pinta', are milked twice a day. We harvest a variety of crops throughout the year.

The heavy horse stable is now the hen house.
Children are welcome to help collect the eggs.
Sometimes, depending on the time of the year, you can see calves, pigs and poultry. In spring we have baby lambs to bottle feed.

Play or relax in the large garden. Try the table tennis room and the full size trampoline.
Picnic table, barbeque and deckchairs available.

 

 

Walking See rabbits, foxes, badgers and deer as you walk through our
fields and woodlands. The footpath known as ‘The Foxglove Way’ runs alongside the riverbanks to Colyton. If you are still and quiet, you may see a kingfisher.

Fishing Our mile long stretch of river bank is stocked with trout.

Trams run between Seaton and Colyton  through the beautiful Axe Valley with superb views of the estuary.

Then try the horse drawn waggon ride to Colyton town centre

Beer A quaint little fishing village.

Pecorama (in Beer) A train enthusiasts delight. Enjoy the model railway exhibitions. Ride on the miniature passenger train overlooking the gardens and coastal views. Enjoy a meal in a genuine railway dining car.

Beer quarry caves Explore the massive quarry caves.

Colyton A quaint historic town with traditional village style shops. 'The most rebellious town in Devon'. 
The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is nearby and provides a happy hunting ground for fossils. 
Lyme Regis A fascinating seaside town. 
Fine beach and a paradise for fossil hunters
The Donkey Sanctuary  
No entrance fee. 400 rescued donkeys.
Sidmouth has retained it's Olde Worlde Regency charm.
Farway Countryside Park, spend a great day seeing many farm animals and unusual breeds. 
Dartmoor National Park is a short distance from Exeter. Rugged beauty with breathtaking views. Take long walks on the moor or visit the prison town of Princetown.  Devonshire Pitt Riding School, for pony trekking.
Bicycle hire: Soanes of Colyton Swimming pools: open to the public in Sidmouth, Axminster and Seaton.
Crealy Country Park is family attraction  with plenty of adventure. Bicton Park gardens and leisure facilities for all the family. 
Tennis courts: Colyton Golf: Axe Cliff and Honiton.
Cricket St. Thomas Wildlife park well worth a visit. The setting for 'To the Manor Born' Forde Abbey one of the many National Trust Gardens open to the public.
See weekly markets in Honiton and Axminster. Carpets are still made in Axminster. Visit the world famous Honiton pottery and lace shops.  Grand Western canal at Tiverton. Try a trip on the Horse drawn barge.

Fancy a meal out? We are happy to recommend a selection. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants to choose from. Hugh Fearnly-Wittingstall's River Cottage shop and Restaurant is in nearby Axminster.

A day shopping? Try Taunton, or Exeter the Cathedral City with a new modern shopping centre just 20 miles away.

We are a short distance from Somerset and Dorset. Bonehayne is an ideal location for touring for Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
